For the March AEG meeting, we will be doing a Scrum Hour exercise to learn first-hand how the Scrum process works. We will break into teams, assign roles, and complete a couple of "micro-sprints" of product development. I have done a similar "Extreme Hour" that was a lot of fun and an engaging learning experience. Expect to learn about how the backlog, estimation, planning meeting, and iterative development practices work together.
This months meeting is scheduled for two hours, from 6:30 to 8:30, but may have the traditional bar run afterwards for those interested. It is once again at Advanced Technologies Integration, Edina, MN.
The Agile Experience Group meets and collaborates to share experiences, suggestions, and ideas about moving software development efforts towards more agile, more lightweight practices. Extreme Programming (XP), SCRUM, Crystal, FDD, and ASD are agile approaches. See www.agilealliance.org
We meet in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area and are a special interest group (SIG) of the Object Technologies Users Group (OTUG). See www.otug.org.
