For the April AEG meeting, we will be doing a Scrum Hour exercise to learn first-hand how the Scrum process works. This was last month's plan, but the snowstorm brought attendance down to less than ten so we are repeating it this month.
We will break into teams, assign roles, and complete a couple of "micro-sprints" of product development. I have done similar "Extreme Hours" that were a lot of fun and an engaging learning experience. Expect to learn about how the backlog, estimation, sprint planning meeting, and incremental, iterative development practices work together. No prior programming or agile (XP, Scrum or otherwise) process experience or knowledge is needed. All are welcome.
This months meeting is scheduled for two hours, from 6:30 to 8:30, but may have the traditional bar run afterwards for those interested. It is once again at Advanced Technologies Integration, Edina, MN. Directions below.
COST:
There is no cost to attend. Complimentary light refreshments will be provided by Advanced Technologies Integration, Inc. (ATI, www.atico.com).
