Is your code hard to maintain and difficult to change or fix? Does changing your code seem dangerous? Does estimating the cost of those changes feel hazardous?
Come to a special November OTUG Java SIG event to learn how the best practices of test-first design and refactoring deliver better quality and more flexibility with lower cost.
JUnit is a free Java unit testing framework that is becoming extremely popular. There are versions for C++, Visual Basic, and HTML as well.

Java SIG presentation went well. Twelve people showed up, which was good considering the rotten weather.
Started at 6:40 and went until 7:30. Then questions with full group for 15 minutes, then interesting discussions until about 9:00 with a few interested stragglers. Lots of XP questions afterwards. A lot of fun.
I got the following suggestions for what topics are of interest from folks there:
Kyle R. Larson specializes in development, mentoring, and training for object-oriented systems using agile methods. He has practiced test-first design using JUnit for over three years. Kyle works for Advanced Technologies Integration (ATI). ATI will be providing light refreshments for the evening.
