Using Software Objects to
create Lion Kings,
control 101 Dalmatians,
fight Nightmares,
and give Sports Simulations intelligence
Topic Summary
We will be discussing our latest object oriented development platform called "Lenore" and its object components called "Ravens." This will be supported with video and software examples.
We will reveal our process of taking a game from concept to shrink-wrap, of delivering what our clients expect from one-paragraph specifications.
It is important to recognize that a large part of our success has been creating software that is used by millions and has few support problems. Object technology is key to making sure that our consumers can use our software successfully.
Company Information
Digital Content, Inc. (DCI) is the parent company of Window Painters, Ltd. (WPL). WPL has been creating entertainment and educational software for the past ten years. WPL has created software for Disney, Sony Music, Viacom, Marvel, Hewlett Packard, Activision, Focus on the Family, Scholastic and Infogrames. Its Print Studio engine is used by millions of users.
The current direction of DCI is to develop software that is offered to the public through consumer-oriented corporations. DCI supplied the technology for the General Mills "Lightdog" promotion, 20 million CD's were distributed in boxes of cereal. DCI has created an online solution called "OURS" (Online User Redemption System) that allows companies to avoid the cost and hassle of packaging CD's, but they still get the instant delivery of the software content over the Internet.
DCI is using its rich background in creating games and focusing that skill into creating experiences that teach safety skills. Current projects are focused on "Fire Safety," "Electrical Safety and Conservation," and "Balanced Eating Habits." We are committed to create quality software that can conserve resources, improve the environment, and save lives.
