A Discussion of .NET

Lead by Andrew Troelsen

Andrew Troelsen, an Instructor/Partner with Intertech-Inc., will lead a discussion on .NET at the May OTUG meeting.

To accommodate the needs of SIG members who like to meet on OTUG night and the wishes of OTUG members who attended the March meeting, we will begin meeting at 6:15 p.m. as of the May 21st meeting in Murray-Herrick Room 155. Pizza and drinks will be served to all attendees while we discuss emerging technology issues with a facilitator who is well versed (or at least more informed than the rest of us) on a chosen topic. Then, at 7:30 (or so), attendees will break out into SIG groups. Currently, the Twin Cities Patterns Group is the only SIG that will take advantage of this arrangement, but other SIGs are welcome to hold their meetings at 7:30 on OTUG nights as well.

To test this approach, we have invited local author, Andrew Troelsen, an Instructor/Partner with Intertech-Inc., to join us for pizza and disputation on the relative merits of .NET. Some of the discussion topics the board would like to see Andrew cover are:

Come and help us evaluate the format, but be forewarned -- you'll have to introduce yourself very briefly and be prepared for camaraderie and fun. (Remember the last time we served pizza to everyone was the December meeting where we had close to 100 people!)
