SynopsisExtreme Programming (XP) is a methodology that emphasizes:
Sabre Airline Solutions has adopted XP in its development organization of over 240 programmers, in addition to software quality engineers, database administrators and version control professionals. This presentation will describe the XP methodology and how Sabre implemented it, including lessons learned, how Sabre supplemented XP with a formal software quality management organization, and measurements of proficiency, quality and productivity. Sabre Airline Solutions provides software applications to over 200 airlines, focusing on decision support and optimization. Speaker:Brad Jensen is Senior Vice President, Airline Products Development, Sabre Airline Solutions. He leads a team of software engineers that develops and maintains 65 products used by over 200 airlines for planning, operations, marketing, and management information. He is responsible for Sabre Airline Solutions' product architecture product integration strategy and for software quality management. Brad joined Sabre in 1996. He has been recognized for bringing innovative solutions to the airline industry using data warehousing, operations research, statistics, econometrics, artificial intelligence and neural networks. Brad was recognized by CIO Magazine with the 1999 "Enterprise Value Award." Prior to joining Sabre, Brad spent 16 years in planning, scheduling, forecasting and economic research for two different North American airlines. He has a degree in Operations Research from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Utah, in his native town of Salt Lake City. |
