Summary

Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Architecture have not traditionally been aligned. You could even go so far as to say that architecture best practices have eluded the Business Process space. Business Process Analysis is typically done on a project basis and is functionally siloed with little regard for the cross functional implications and is rarely related to enterprise initiatives. Model Driven Architecture and an Enterprise Service Architecture, modeled as operational scenarios can provide structure to a cross functional enterprise business processes modeling approach.

  • How Model Driven Architecture provides structure to align Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Architecture
  • How an Enterprise Services Architecture provides the foundation for a cross functional Business Process Architecture
