Abstract - Different styles of pair programming, such as Ping Pong, Ball and Board, and Batting Practice, will make you a better programmer. This presentation includes hands-on demonstrations of pair programming techniques and a discussion about when to use each technique. And the most important lesson....learn how to avoid being "Chewy Seated". Biography - Paul has been consulting in the software development industry for more than ten years specializing in Agile methodologies and automation. Paul currently operates his own consulting firm, Willowbark Consulting. Prior to Willowbark, Paul was Executive Vice President at Stelligent and a Senior Technologist with ThoughtWorks, Inc. He co-founded the CruiseControl continuous integration server open source project. Paul co-chairs the international series of Continuous Integration and Testing Conferences (CITCON). Paul co-founded the Open Information Foundation, a non-profit charity focused on eliminating barriers to sharing ideas. |
